#TheStatueofLiberty (#LibertyEnlighteningTheWorld; French: La Liberté éclairant le monde) is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on #LibertyIsland in #NewYorkHarbor in #NewYorkCity, in the United States. <br /><br />The statue's foundation and pedestal were aligned so that it would face southeast, greeting ships entering the harbor from the #AtlanticOcean.
